Allergies Questions:

  1. The ability to "air out" the Sleep Number® bed is an additional benefit for those who have allergy sensitivities. By unzipping and cleaning the surface of the air chamber, it's less likely that allergens will accumulate and cause you discomfort. For information on how to clean your Sleep Number® bed, click here.
  2. Latex (Rubber): Only the air chambers in our beds contain latex. If you have sensitivity to latex, we recommend that you have someone else place the air chambers in your bed during assembly.
  3. Formaldehyde: Current products by Select Comfort contain no formaldehyde. For more information on past products, please contact the Select Comfort Customer Service department by clicking here.
If you have any further questions regarding allergy related issues, please contact the Select Comfort Customer Service department by clicking here.

Home air filtration systems that introduce ozone into the air can damage the rubber in the air chamber(s) of your Sleep Number® bed. If you need to use an air filtration system that introduces ozone into the air, we recommend that you place it as far away from your Sleep Number® bed as possible. Home air filtration systems that do not introduce ozone into the air will not affect your Sleep Number® bed.
